Waterside

Set on a granite headland with views toward Sandy Bay, Waterside is intentionally shielded from the street with plannings and a small outbuilding to create an intimate entry courtyard. While the house nods to the vernacular context on the exterior, the interior features minimalist, contemporary architecture that unfolds connecting you with the ocean and islands beyond.  The materials pallet is quiet and reflective with classic contemporary detailing designed to feature the owner’s art and furnishings. Rooms include elaborate casework including the custom tamo wood and ash veneered cabinets in the kitchen.  Custom sliding shoji screen panels allow the kitchen to be opened to the dining room or closed off to create a more formal setting.
